Foundations of Technical Alpinism

The aim of Alpinism is the quick deployment of small sized, light weighing tools; rescuing of the ones in need; raising and lowering items; securing, belaying and moving a person or ourselves at a height. Building a secure work station whilst working at a height and its functionality is durable even under great strain. In case of emergeny, it also aims at life-saving and self-rescue.

Who is an industrial alpinist?

Perhaps everyone knows the phrase ’industrial alpinist’, however many people could not determine precisely the meaning of this term. The methods of the mountaineers has been used in the industry since the 1970s. The technical alpinism is such a way of working, when we approach the spot at the height of over two metres, and that temporarily, taking breaks, using special protective equipments. Completion of the tasks and leaving the site happens by making use of personal protective equipments and determined equpiments in a coordinated and simultaneous way. You can learn more about these processes on our training about the basic techniques of alpinism.

Special use of equipment

On our training course, the students may acquire the comprehension of moving on rope, setting of bollards, and the basics of belaying themselves and their partners. Accessing the work station and the creation of fixed spots requires special use of equipment. The benefit of the knowledge, gained from us, lies in the application, by which the scaffold - taking considerable amount of money and time - can be avoided. The cleaning, renovating, building, demolitioning and maintenance works can be done while sitting on bench, or hanging on rope in case of difficult-to-approach places, buildings or antennas. The goal of the course is preparation for the independent labour, during which theoretical and practical sessions are delivered by expert, skilled trainers from the field of industrial alpinism techniques.
